Acceptance of Terms
By accessing kcevents.co.za, submitting an enquiry, purchasing a ticket, or attending an event organised by KC Events ("KC Events", "we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Notice below. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.
These terms apply to all visitors, ticket holders, VIP guests, vendors, and anyone who submits information through our contact forms.
Our Services
KC Events is an event management company based in Burgersfort, Limpopo, organising large-scale live entertainment including DJ performances, concerts, and nightlife experiences. Event line-ups, dates, venues, and VIP section availability are subject to change without notice due to factors outside our control (artist availability, weather, venue restrictions, safety requirements).
Bookings & Payments
- All ticket sales and VIP bookings are final unless an event is cancelled or postponed by KC Events directly.
- You are responsible for providing accurate contact and payment details when booking.
- Entry to an event may be refused if proof of ticket purchase or identification cannot be provided.
- Refund eligibility for cancelled or postponed events will be communicated via the contact details you provide at booking.
User Conduct
When attending our events or using our platforms, you agree not to:
- Engage in violent, abusive, or unsafe behaviour toward staff, performers, or other guests.
- Bring prohibited items (weapons, illegal substances, unauthorised recording equipment) into venues.
- Resell tickets at inflated prices without authorisation.
- Submit false information through our booking or contact forms.
KC Events reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any person who breaches these terms, without refund.
Data Protection (POPIA)
KC Events processes personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA). This section explains what we collect, why, and how it's protected.
What we collect
- Name and surname, submitted via our contact and newsletter forms.
- Email address and phone number, used to send event updates, offers, and respond to enquiries.
- City, used to understand where our audience is based and tailor event locations.
- Payment information processed by our third-party payment provider (KC Events does not store full card details on its own servers).
Why we collect it
- To process bookings and send ticket confirmations.
- To notify you of upcoming events, line-up changes, or offers you've opted into.
- To respond to enquiries submitted through our contact form.
- To meet legal, safety, or venue-related obligations where required.
Your Rights Under POPIA
As a data subject, POPIA gives you the following rights over the personal information we hold about you:
Access
Request confirmation of what personal information we hold about you and a copy of it.
Correction
Ask us to correct or update information that is inaccurate, outdated, or incomplete.
Deletion
Request that we delete or destroy personal information we no longer have a lawful basis to keep.
Objection
Object to your information being used for marketing or direct communication at any time.
Withdraw consent
Withdraw any consent previously given, e.g. unsubscribe from event updates and offers.
Complain
Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa if you believe your rights have been infringed.
How to Delete Your Data
Requesting deletion is straightforward:
- Contact us using the email or phone number below and state that you'd like your personal information deleted.
- Verification — we may ask you to confirm the name, email, or phone number used at signup, so we delete the correct record.
- Processing — we will action deletion requests within a reasonable time, and confirm once complete.
- Exceptions — where the law requires us to retain certain records (e.g. financial transaction records for tax purposes), we will let you know what is retained and why, and delete the rest.
You can also unsubscribe from marketing emails directly using the unsubscribe link in any newsletter we send.
Data Retention
We keep personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose it was collected for, or as required by law (for example, financial records may need to be retained for a statutory period). Once information is no longer needed, it is securely deleted or anonymised.
Intellectual Property
All content on kcevents.co.za — including our logo, photography, and event branding — is owned by KC Events or used under licence. Images are copyright © KC Events unless otherwise stated. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our branding or content without written permission.
Liability
KC Events takes reasonable measures to ensure guest safety at our events but is not liable for personal injury, loss, or damage to property arising from attendance, except where caused by our gross negligence. Attendance is at your own risk, subject to venue and event-specific safety rules communicated on the day.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service and our POPIA notice from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or the law. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
