These terms govern your use of KC Events' website, ticketing, and event services, and explain how we collect, use, and protect your personal information under South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

By accessing kcevents.co.za, submitting an enquiry, purchasing a ticket, or attending an event organised by KC Events ("KC Events", "we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Notice below. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.

These terms apply to all visitors, ticket holders, VIP guests, vendors, and anyone who submits information through our contact forms.

Our Services

KC Events is an event management company based in Burgersfort, Limpopo, organising large-scale live entertainment including DJ performances, concerts, and nightlife experiences. Event line-ups, dates, venues, and VIP section availability are subject to change without notice due to factors outside our control (artist availability, weather, venue restrictions, safety requirements).

Our commitment: We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Information is only shared with service providers directly involved in delivering our events (e.g. ticketing or payment processors), and only to the extent necessary.

Request confirmation of what personal information we hold about you and a copy of it.

Correction

Ask us to correct or update information that is inaccurate, outdated, or incomplete.

Deletion

Request that we delete or destroy personal information we no longer have a lawful basis to keep.

Objection

Object to your information being used for marketing or direct communication at any time.

Withdraw consent

Withdraw any consent previously given, e.g. unsubscribe from event updates and offers.

Complain

Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa if you believe your rights have been infringed.

How to Delete Your Data

Requesting deletion is straightforward:

  1. Contact us using the email or phone number below and state that you'd like your personal information deleted.
  2. Verification — we may ask you to confirm the name, email, or phone number used at signup, so we delete the correct record.
  3. Processing — we will action deletion requests within a reasonable time, and confirm once complete.
  4. Exceptions — where the law requires us to retain certain records (e.g. financial transaction records for tax purposes), we will let you know what is retained and why, and delete the rest.

You can also unsubscribe from marketing emails directly using the unsubscribe link in any newsletter we send.

Data Retention

We keep personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose it was collected for, or as required by law (for example, financial records may need to be retained for a statutory period). Once information is no longer needed, it is securely deleted or anonymised.

Liability

KC Events takes reasonable measures to ensure guest safety at our events but is not liable for personal injury, loss, or damage to property arising from attendance, except where caused by our gross negligence. Attendance is at your own risk, subject to venue and event-specific safety rules communicated on the day.

We may update these Terms of Service and our POPIA notice from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or the law. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
